Caveman Discovers Fire

Hanging out sa kubo. I was bored. I had a lighter in my hand. So this is what I did

BIG GREAT IDEA!!!

I have come up with this really really interesting idea inspired by watching the film, Cloverfield.

I want to make a video blog for myself. I want to video as many events that happen in my life, my friends' lives, my family's lives, and place them all here. I will also be compiling all the videos I am going to take so that in 10 years, I can look back at them and reminisce my childhood.

Using my dad's Sony DCR-DVD408, I will try to capture all the special moments I share with everyone around...

Today... The journey begins.....

EYE OPENING PEP TALK FROM MY FRIEND...

* This is an e-mail from one of my friends. I was going through a rough time in school. I was out of focus. My life was heading nowhere. So I decided to ask him for some advice. This is the advice he gave me. It made a lot of sense to me. It's really helpful for me. If you happen to be in a tight spot like me, this might help you out...

Delayed satisfaction - well, you really don't know it until you've done it. You finish your objective without knowing it, only realizing it at that moment of enlightened reflection. Too many people nowadays want "instant gratification" - they see it the movies, in music, in other people they admire and they just want it, right there and then without hardly a thought of investment. School is one of those things only that it seems to be more laborious and feels like a waste of time. It's not.
JP, college is more important to you right now than anything else. Girls, friends, and good times will always be there but the time to get done what needs to be done first is school. Where you are at right now, there is nothing else more important. Remember, even your parents want you to think about finishing school first before thinking about them Totoo ba? When you're done, then you will what delayed satisfaction is all about. However, if you think you can skip a step in this life - in YOUR life - and bypass what productive, successful people have to go through, then you may be trying all your life what feeling contents actually feels like. Invest in your objective.

They can only be your friends if they support your
objective. Otherwise, you may find out that this
passing phase will leave your friends behind.

Unfortunately I have had to learn to understand the
mantra, "Well, I thought they were my friends..." You
know how many 'friends' I've lost over the years
because they didn't comply with my goals, my family's
goals for me? Now looking back, it looks like they're
the ones who missed out on being something in life. I
don't mean to generalize or act as if I know all the
answers but as you get older you will find this to be
true, just like everyone else. Chose your friends,
don't let them chose you and chose your goals because
it's not your friends choice.

You are an honest, hard-working young dude with one
exceptional gift - a supportive family that cares for
you - a luxury taken for granted too easily. And
remember, it's not that hard staying focused. You may
think it is now but believe me, it's a lot easier than
you think, especially when you get support from your
family and friends.

You got what it takes bro, trust me.

life back on track

2nd term just started... time for a fresh start. and it has indeed been a fresh start. i have been going to all of my classes regularly, unlike my last 3 terms, and so are my friends. and it kinda feels good. i am so thankful to God that everything is going right this term. in most of my classes, my friends are with me. on the classes that i don't have friends, my teachers are very good. so i always have motivation to come to class. my college life is getting back on track and i am so glad. i seem to be enjoying studying more which is a big improvement. i hope everything goes well this term and my next 5 terms until i graduate. WOHOO!!! SCHOOL IS COOL!!! haha!
