21
It's my birthday now! And it's raining crazy hard! I'm supposed to go to this orphanage in Tagaytay today but it's not looking too good right now. I really want to go coz I've been waiting to do this for quite some time now. I know it sounds too cheesy but I sincerely want to help out less fortunate people, especially the young ones. (Yes, the young ones, for I am young no more) They are the future of this wonderful nation. I don't want them to feel alone. I want them to feel that there is someone cares for them. I want them to know that they are important and that there are people in this world who still help out their fellowmen. I want them to know and feel these things coz I want them to do the same one day. Good people are a rare commodity nowadays. Haha. I want to be one of them. I've been alive in this earth for so long, yet, I haven't done anything that has made a significant effect on another human being. I want to feel what it feels. Coz i know it's a special feeling.
It's June 22. 21 years ago, my mom brought me out into this world not knowing whether I'm gonna be the next Philippine president, or a doctor, or a drug addict. She just brought me out, showered me with love and support and introduced me to the world. Letting me wander off must have been a scary feeling for them. They did not know who I'd meet, who would influence me and those sort of things. Now that I look back, I think my parents have done an excellent job in bringing me up. I have morals, I have manners and I am God-fearing. Those are the key things that they have instilled in me. In terms of the people I choose to surround me, I think I did a good job on that. All of my friends are good people. They are not perfect but they are good. I am truly thankful for that. I am very very thankful for everyone who has joined me in my journey of life. Each and everyone I have interacted with is a part of me. They have molded me into what I am. Now, I don't know with you guys, but I think I grew up to be a pretty decent guy. And that's another thing I am thankful for. So I really just want to thank everyone in my life! Especially my family and friends!!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME WHAT I AM TODAY... Every piece of me.
21... I'm finally 21! I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad that I'm 21. It's such a crossroad. It's the farewell to teenage life and the introduction to adulthood. I have mixed emotions about it. I mean, I definitely miss being 16. When i was 16, all I had to think about was what fun thing there was to do next. Practically, no worries at all, about money, studies, life. Now that I'm 21, I am obliged to worry about money, studies and life! This is it! This is me about to enter the real world. I don't think about inumans and parties anymore, I think about school, graduation and work. It's definitely a big change and I didn't even feel it. It was just last week when I was talking to my friend, Wale, when I saw all these changes in me. It felt good sharing the same experience with my friends. It made me feel "not alone" while I'm going through all these. It feels awesome that I have people around me to join me in my journey. I was also texting with Tep, my beefy just a while ago and we where talking about transition and change. Then she said she's glad i turned into a fine fellow. I really really appreciated that compliment. THANKS BEEFY! I'm glad someone appreciated the person I have grown up to be.
Here and now, I begin a special chapter in my life. I'm planning to make the most of it.

Philippine Pride in the UFC

UFC 85: Bedlam. Brandon "The Truth" Vera comes out wearing shorts designed like the Philippine flag. I have never seen a prettier thing. It just shows how proud Brandon is of his Filipino roots. He did lose to Fabricio Verdum because of an early stoppage which shouldn't have been. It was unfair. These guys train for months and months. They are well conditioned and ready to feel pain. The ref should have made them earn their paychecks. What's done is done though. Brandon is still a hero and inspiration to all Filipinos. I'm sure he'll come back from this.

UFC Eyeing Philippines, Germany, Australia
In addition to its status as one of the fastest-growing sports organizations in the United States, UFC is increasingly looking to expand into foreign markets, with a very successful show in Canada last month and one scheduled in England next month.
But UFC isn't stopping there. On a conference call Thursday to promote UFC 84, UFC President Dana White said he expects his organization to host shows in the Philippines, Germany and Australia soon, and that he's confident that mixed martial arts will be embraced in all three countries.
As White sees it, MMA is an easy enough sport to understand that UFC won't have to expend nearly as much capital on educating foreign fans about the sport as, say, the NFL has spent trying to attract European fans. That makes sense, and I have no doubt that UFC shows in all three countries could attract big audiences.
IT WOULD BE AMAZING TO HAVE THE UFC HERE!!! MMA has been booming in our country. Lots of competitions are coming out. And with UFC coming here to the Philippines, it would just add to the fast growing popularity of this sport in our country.
IF ANYONE FROM THE UFC IS READING THIS, THE PHILIPPINES IS READY!!!!!

Liverpool overcome Arsenal
I haven't watched a Champions League match in a while coz its so friggin hard to wake up at 2:30 in the morning. Liverpool's quarterfinal 2nd leg clash with Arsenal though was a very important game. So I made it a point to watch it. Luckily, I was able to wake up.
Arsenal struck first with a well created move. They strung around 20 passes and ended up with a chance for Diaby. He struck near post and scored. I dont know how Reina could be so careless. I wasn't in panic mode yet coz I knew how resilient Liverpool are. And they did strike back with an excellent placed header by Hyppia from a corner. 1st half ended at 1-1 which didnt give any advantage for any team. Ton woke up just in time to catch the 2nd half. We were texting the whole half. We went berserk when Fernando Torres struck an amazing rocket to the top corner of Almunia's goal. Advantage Liverpool. Just as Ton and I were celebrating, Theo Walcott ran half of the pitch leaving 4 Liverpool players behind him and layed it off to Adebayor for an easy goal. My heart was crushed. Just after a minute or two though, Ryan Babel made a run inside the Arsenal penalty box and seemed to tumble over being pursued by Toure. It was enough for a penalty for the referee. Steven Gerrard, drilled the penalty in the top corner. Advantage Liverpool again. The last few minutes were nervy. And finally, after a clearance from the Liverpool penalty box, Ryan Babel sealed it off by outrunning the last man, Cesc Fabregas, and tucked in the final blow. Ton and I were friggin goin wild! Liverpool go through to the semis where they face another English club, Chelsea. BRING IT ON!!!
